Here is the information we got from Cunard about costs and visiting times on-board. The prices are VERY reasonable when compared to Air Freight (and also the emotional cost!)

Hello ~
Your blog is great - the pugs are adorable. I'm writing because I see that you relocated by crossing on the QM 2 w/ your dogs. I'm planning to do
the same, in the other direction (NY to Southampton) next spring. I'm
taking 3 dogs with me, and they're my children so I'm worried silly.
I'm wondering if you might be willing to email me about the voyage
and what you thought of it (more importantly, what your dogs thought
of it!).
Thanks so much for your time!
Best,
